| The Acronyms were a hyper-oldies band from Springfield, Missouri. Formed in January 1997 from the still-smoldering ashes of Piezo Transducer and Jake's Radio, the Acronyms managed to stay together and irregularly play shows for about 5 years. They played their first show on Nov. 1 1997 at a Halloween party, and soon after, a cassette of this performance was released on WRR. A CD entitled "Live at the Looney Bin" was planned, but never saw the light of day. The Acronyms went through a few lineup changes over the years, but they always managed to be "the worst band ever." |  |
